countPRO can now be run in Compatibility Mode on Windows 11 computers. Follow the process below to enable this compatibility. Please note that full regression testing has not been completed on the Compatibility Mode operations of countPRO and full functionality is not guaranteed
Navigate to the countPRO Application file on your C: Drive. For most users this will be in the Program Files (x86) folder in the COUNTpro subfolder
Right click on the countPRO Application file and click Properties.
Click the Compatibility tab then Change settings for all users.
Toggle on Run this program as an administrator then Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 8. Click Apply.
Click OK to close the countPRO Properties window.
Double click the countPRO Application to launch. If prompted to, click YES on running the program prompt. The countPRO Startup Options page should appear. If you receive an error message upon startup, you may need to uninstall and reinstall the VLC Media Player. The recommended version can be found HERE.
Click Preferences and update the COUNTpro Study Files Default Path to what is shown in the image below.
Click OK. countPRO is now ready for use.
